Liquorice

Jenny Toomey-guitar, vocals
Trey Many - drums

Liquorice is Jenny Toomey (Tsunami/ Grenadine), Dan Littleton (Ida/The Hated,) and Trey Many (His Name is Alive)-the artists formerly known as Slack.

For those of you not familiar with Slack's ouevre, it's seriously hooky pop that belives the impulse to more orignates in the head..not the ass.

After a nearly three year hiatus, Jenny and Dan got together in the summer of 1994 to write songs and record again. What a reunion. In a matter of a few weeks, this team polished off 22 songs, which they quickly recorded in the plush Michigan basement of Warren DeFever (His Name is Alive/aspiring children's books author), already responsible for Grenadine's 8-track gem Nopalitos.

The debut 7", which came out on Simple Machines in May 1995, was a three-song introduction packaged in a handsome brown matte paper sleeve with full-color postage stamp adornment. In July 1995, Liquorice released Listening Cap, a full-length through 4AD, and then toured the US and parts of Europe through the summer and fall.

Liquorice will be playing shows in February 1996 check below for details. Their second record is also about halfway done, hopefully ready for a late spring release.
