The Crownhate Ruin started playing in May 1994 .
Based in Washington, DC, The Crownhate Ruin performed extensively
on the East Coast.
Joseph P. McRedmond came to the DC Metro Area from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
Joe was previously in Hoover and Admiral.
Joe played the trombone in public school.
Frederick T. Erskine came to the DC Metro Area from Omaha, Nebraska. Fred
is also currently a member of June of '44
and was previously in Hoover.
Fred played the trumpet in public school, an instrument he still plays today.
Vin Novara drummed for the band, later leaving to pursue other
projects. He currently plays with a chamber group called the New Dark Age
Ensemble. Vin's place was taken by David
Batista. David now lives in NYC.
The very final line-up of the band also featured Alex Dunham, formerly of
Hoover and currently with Regulator Watts,
singing and played guitar.
Sadly the band broke up at the end of 1996. Dave and Joe joined Josh LaRue, Stuart Fletcher (from the Sorts) and Chris Farrall (from the Sorts too) to playin live in Sea Tiger. Fred is continuing in June of '44 and also playing with B. & Jay.
