The Dusters

ryan nelson The Capitol City Dusters are a trio from Washington, D.C. Ben Azzara (Junction, Delta 72) and Alec Bourgeois (Severin) formed the band in 1996 and played with several bass players before Jesse Quitslund (Vile Cherubs, Please) joined the group in 1998. They play punk with an ear from the past, a shared sense of melody from the present and an anthemic quality that transends both.

To date, The Capitol City Dusters have toured in the US (1997, 1998, 1999, 2002) and Europe (1999), released a handful of releases including their first full-length, “Simplicity,” on Alec's label-Superbad Records. They released "Rock Creek," their first full-length for Dischord Records, in April 2002.

Having taken most of 2000-2001 off from touring The Dusters have taken the release of "Rock Creek" as an opportunity to get reacquainted with the road. They have toured the east Coast of the USA, Spain and the Midwest of the USA in 2002 and are about to tour in Western Europe in March 2003.
