More Information
Taking elements of Tom Tom Club, Love, and early Cure, and combining
them with a flash of the Japanese pop and punk esthetic, Enon fuse their
influences in the way an artful mix tape made by a friend would. A band
that is now--> not grabbing onto then. Disco-guitar-pop getting beat
up by dirty synths, sedated by electro-punk drums and made nice by girl/boy
vocals. Put on your sneakers and bend those knees to these tunes.
With
Hocus Pocus, Enon have taken things up a notch. 13 songs that cover
a lot of ground, but keep it in the ballpark of the field of dreams.
Last year's High Society created a stir that had indie-pop junkies
stuttering over a band that created a sound uniquely their own in this
saturated
league. You couldn't ask for a better follow-up than Hocus Pocus- this
is what they call evolution, progression, body gyration.
A great sounding
record backed up with eye-popping art and POP. Enon live half of their
lives in Brooklyn, and the other on the road, playing
shows and expanding the Enon base.
