The Ex Models are a five piece band, hailing from Brooklyn,
New York. The band started in 1999 and have been consistently
blowing away audiences with their frenetically fast paced live
shows in the USA. The band have toured with the likes of The
Faint, Interpol, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Liars, Black Dice, Enon and
Les Savy Fav.
The Ex Models adopt a formal strategy predicated on the perverse
manipulation of time signatures, frantic, non-linear guitar interplay,
and a highly disciplined division of rhythmic labour. Their mission:
rock and roll simulation. Their results: sexual vigor.
Their debut album 'Other Mathematics' (Ace Fu) gained critical
acclaim in the USA. 'Zoo Psychology' is the second full length
from Ex Models and was recorded with Martin Bisi (Sonic Youth).
They have just toured the UK and will be returning to tour the
whole of Europe in May, to support the release of their new album. |
