Flyscreen are from Newport ("This Year's Seattle") in Wales, where local punk club TJ's is a cultural oasis in a city of theme pubs and trade union bars. A true Nineties band, Flyscreen's sound is a massive cacophony, a colossal collision of rock, punk, grunge and yes, even NWONW (if you believe in such things). Three minute songs, mountainous bass, overdriven voice, that's what Flyscreen songs are about.
But words without action are meaningless, and live, Flyscreen deliver a short sharp blast of a set that will soon convince.
