When Jeordie White (better known as Twiggy Ramirez from Marilyn Manson and as the bass player in Nine Inch Nails) started kicking around songs with Chris Goss (front man of desert Rock pioneers Masters Of Reality and producer of Kyuss and Queens Of The Stone Age) five years ago, little did anyone guess that they would turn out a genre-defying kaleidoscopic collage on psychedelia, pop and retro rock taking in virtually every sonic trend from the last thirty years, yet stamping an instantly recognisable ‘Desert Sessions’ seal of quality right through it’s spooky, otherworldly heart.
The album is available on CD through Ipecac Recordings and now on vinyl exclusively from Southern Records’ vinyl only off-shoot label Black Diamond.
This fabulous Black Diamond issue is pressed on heavyweight ‘moon’ coloured 12 inch double vinyl and housed in a gatefold sleeve with new artwork and a lyric sheet, plus it’s about as tasty as warm apple pie.
