Jenny Hoyston can't be easily pigeonholed, and thank goodness for that. As a member of acclaimed all-girl post-punkers Erase Errata or as Paradise Island, her solo project (released as part of Southern’s Latitudes series), she is without a doubt a defining female artist of our time. An ace songwriter, capable of frank emotion and playfulness and like a Robert Pollard record, her tuneful sensibility shines through whether it's experimental bedroom pop, or raucous full-on (punk) rock.
