JOHNBOY were 3 young men from Austin, Texas who started playing their first shows in the winter of 1992, and quickly captured a fast and loyal local following. TRANCE SYNDICATE begged them to do an album, and Undone Records released their debut 7" ep, CALYX, which placed top five in several local critics' polls in The Austin Chronicle. They also contributed two stellar tracks to LOVE AND NAPALM - THE ALBUM (TRANCE, 1993). JOHNBOY brought with them their own brand of emotional, intense, and dissonant music.
