biography
Geoff Farina, guitarist and singer for Karate, spends most of his time away from the band working with his long-time collaborator Jodi Buonanno on their studio/living space at the Naragansett Grange Hall in Rhode Island. Geoff spends his spare time playing with drum machines & fixing his array of broken amplifiers.
Baltimore native Gavin McCarthy, has played drums with Karate since their inception in 1993. Like Geoff, Gavin is also a graduate of Berklee College of Music and plays jazz and improvised music with many musicians in Boston and has played with Rosa Chance Well, the Secret Stars and the Swirlies.

Jeff Goddard has played bass with Geoff and Gavin since 1995 and studied bass and trumpet at Berklee College of Music and the New England Conservatory, but soon left to pursue a career as one of Boston's most hired guns. Jeff has since played in the Moving Targets, Jones Very, Come and the Lune, just to name a few.
