Gregg Kowalsky
Kowalsky's compositions are highly influenced by the thick, humid air of South Florida where he lived for most of his life. He is interested in filling the spaces his music occupies through dense, live, multi-channel mixes. He has composed for film, dance, acoustic ensembles and sound installations. Gregg Kowalsky lived in Barcelona for three years before moving to Oakland. In Europe he released music under the name Osso Bucco, appeared on compilations and a split EP on the Swedish Nosordo label and in the summer of 2005 played alongside Wolf Eyes, Ariel Pink, FM3 and others. He participated in festivals such as WDR's SoundArt-Koln Festival, Sonar, OFFF (Online Flash-Film Festival) and The Nursery Summer Festival in Sweden and performs regularly in the Bay Area.
