Enchantment and intuition. A charm bracelet chock full of memories. Ten short stories disguised as pop songs. That's Infinity Plus, the new full-length record from Lois.

Working with sidekicks Heather Dunn on drums and Brendan Canty on electric guitar, bass and organ, Lois Maffeo has written 10 songs that map the heart and decode the complex crytograms of love and chance. It's the instant replay from that morning after a seduction, the first day you couldn't remember what your ex looks like, and the moment before you fall head over heels in love.

Also appearing on Infinity Plus are Elliott Smith, in a duet entitled "Rougher", and Alan Sparhawk (Low) adding spectral guitar to the cuts "A Summer Long" and "Silent Seduction".

Since the release of 1995's Bet the Sky (K), Lois has been working on a vaiety of projects. She wrote and recorded the song "Sotto Voce" with Rebecca Gates (Spinanes) for the Red, Hot and Bothered compilation, organized the Free to Fight women's self defense tour, made a music video for the Halo Benders (for "Don't Touch My Bikini"), was interviewed for the recently published Angry Women In Rock book (Juno Books), and recorded five songs in collaboration with several of her favorite musician friends for the Snapshot Radio EP, out now on K.

Lois will be touring to promote the Snapshot Radio EP in August and September 1996 with Heather Dunn, Brendan Canty, and Alan Sparhawk (plus specialguests along the way). Next up is a tour of Europe in September and October. Then a tour of Japan in October. Upon their return from Japan, Lois and Heather will head out on another U.S. tour in support of Infinity Plus.
