Thomas Meluch, is the 23 year old singer songwriter behind the pseudonym Benoit Pioulard.
Having experimented with different recording techniques from an early age, Thomas received critical acclaim in 2006 with Precis, his first full-length released on Kranky. His new release, Temper, also on Kranky, sees his love of nature shining through crystalline folk-pop teeming with fragile vocals, acoustic guitars, electronics and percussion in a hazy shoegaze that is more than a little easy to fall in love with.
