God Bless The Drunkard's Dog is the first release for Black Diamond, which is a new vinyl-only imprint from Southern, dedicated to high-quality presentation of exceptional musical works in the superior audio format. With this album you get a handful of great stories, some secrets, a little insight and some damn fine playing from a guy who knows what he's talking about. The album lasts for thirty minutes and contains thirteen songs of the highest pedigree which give the listener a range of emotive feedback and diverse subject matter. The rough edge of bluegrass meets the cocksure swagger of southern rock, measured wryly by a dark heart and delivered with a sharp tongue and vicious right hook.
