Sharon and Tim have recorded as Red Eye since 1994, in Tim's various recording studios in Washington, DC, Olympia, WA, and San Francisco, CA. Both have their roots in the 1980's Washington, DC punk scene: Sharon played guitar in Suture, Bloody Mannequin Orchestra, and Chalk Circle, while Tim was guitarist for Nation of Ulysses, Evolution Revolution, and The Vile Cherubs. Sharon also co-authored the book Banned In DC with Cynthia Connolly and Leslie Clague. The two were destined to become musical co-conspirators, despite each moving away from DC. Tim ended up first in Olympia, WA joining the Young Ginns, Fakes, and Lice, then in San Francisco where he now plays with The Champs; Sharon moved to San Francisco, started Decomposition, and formed The Electrolettes.
