Scrawl
come from Columbus, OH, but their roots spread way across the
indefinable bounds of the indie community, and their records have graced hip
turntables across the country for years. They've toured with bands like
Firehose, Afghan Whigs, The Cannanes, Meat Puppets, Beat Happening and
Tsunami, even headlining a night
at K Record's now-lengendary Pop Underground
Convention. After the misfortune of the Rough Trade bankruptcy which forced
their earlier albums out of print, Scrawl released two records and a 7"
through Simple Machines,
and subsequently signed to Elektra.
Simple Machines will be releasing the "Travel On, Rider" album on vinyl in
March. This great album was previously on availble on CD. A limited run
of 700 will come in hand letterpressed and silkscreened covers. Be quick!
Scrawl are on tour right now with Wilco! Check out the tour icon below.
