Severin
Severin hailed from Washington DC and played shows from 1990-1994.
During
this period they played on several regional tours, one national tour,
founded a label, Superbad Records, released four singles and one
full-length CD/LP. Characterized by crisp, weaving and dueling guitar
melodies punctuated by frenetic rhythms, Severin broke eardrums and
genres
with urgent pop hooks and dischordant anti-rock structures.
Alec Bourgeois now fronts The
Dusters and still runs Superbad
Records. Eugene Bogan is playing with Mark Lambiotte (ex-Holy
Rollers),
Rummy (ex-Gumball) and John Hansen (the orginal Hansen!) in
a band called
Birdshot. Alex Daniels reunited with his Swiz mates to form
Sweetbelly
Freakdown. Mark Haggerty recently moved to San Francisco and we
hope to
hear more fom him soon.
