Ten Spot
Lyrics
- Heaven Here
- King in my dream town says, "Here Ye: pride is gone." Then he has his
thrown throne to the ego-birds who fly with wilted wings and die of broken
things like hearts. Heaven is here if I'd adhere to the King's rule; he
says, " a stranger's heart is raw, its vulnerable so do let your own heart
thaw, or live lonely like the broken ego-bird whose lone stone heart's
strings weight was more than its two sad wings." Heaven is here...Nervous
glances dance like darts around me. Faces find each other and then won't
look. Avoiding looks so's not to look quite human, when human's got looks
likely to find love in. The end.
- Jade-Dust Eyes
- Jade-dust eyes, I love you and I lust time as much. So give me all yours
and time untie me. Time's uptight, it never smiles or sighs, it just
clicks. Jade- dust eyes, I miss you and I misplace my mind. So will you
mind it? 'Caus I don't mind if you mind mine, you smile and sigh, and time
just clicks. Jade- dust eyes, I see you and I don't want to blink. And
you could fall down my skull, unwind my spine, and know my smiles and
sighs.
- Rag
- Rag, your face is like my uncle my uncle is a jungle a jungle is a tangle
a tangle makes you strangle. And Rag, a rose is not a robot and whores in
need of hose save three cents for thin ski pants. And Rag, you chose your
hell a whole lot, and then you complain when you find your hole's too deep
and too hot.
- About Three Dreams
- Time slows I doze. In a bath of cream and ink a vacant girl smiles, and
all around her toys move. The water is crazy blue. The water is crazy
blue. Above, nine doves water her with sleep. There's a stripping child
show, and from the ceiling thumbs snow. The sky is crazy blue. The sky is
crazy blue. Croquet-Sunday, and all the balls I sink are really sunsets so
all around me night flies. The stars are crazy blue. The stars are crazy
blue. Dreams mean my brain's on break. It takes my day and starts to say a
fable. A no rules game, rearrange reigns. Takes my whims and swims circles
'round sense. Cockroaches climb the clocks and the cuckoos are all
Jewish. We're naked except for the plaided patch you're stitching into my
groin. "Don't stop me," you say, "this is something I've been needing to
do for a long time." "All right," I reply. Then I'm kissing you in a long
blue boat; it's a plastic yacht, with Chicanos on deck. They bail the
jellyfish from the boat and then drink it. "It's the only way to keep them
from stinging the tourists," one man says. The air is icy-cold, but we are
happy, we are getting married. Now it's the desert at dusk. The sky is
blue chrome. I pick one sequin from your dress and then kiss it. I put the
sequin into the sky. "That's my star," I say. "And I'm your cowboy."
- Speak
- Speak in turn, make time for me. Speak in turn, make time for me. I put a
dime into a well to wish for diamonds. When I fell I saw you laughing
down. "She breaks real diamonds with her teeth," he said. And I, in
disbelief, gave her some glass instead. Before kids came kid-dinosaurs who
shopped in diamond candy stores. Their mothers went berzerk.
- Corner of my Eye
- Ladybug on my wrist strikes a simple pose and then flies. Sitting man
across from me wears housefly-hair and sunken eyes. And he just wants
another quarter for five quarts of forgetting sauce. Knuckles white like
embers ashen. Clicks his jaw in neurotic time. Face a strobe-lit
street-light dance as subways screech their third-rail rhyme. And I just
want to see my girlfriend caus her hugs are the best I know. Though I'm
gone I don't want us to end, but I feel me slipping out the corner of her
eye. He just wants another quarter for five quarts of forgetting sauce.
And I play "couldn't-be-much-boreder" as I'm watching the drunk in the
corner of my eye.
- Summertime Train
- Red train combs the steel-hair track (in the summer) Rust jumps car and
sleeps in back (summertime train's blind). "Careful airplanes think I'm
old (in the summer) but they're too fast living really" (summertime
train's blind). Window's warm conductor's drowsing. Coal heart sings a wig
of smoke (in the summer) to waltzing leaves and twigs half broke
(summertime train's blind). Blue roof house with bathtub lakes (in the
summer) and bodies in its belly shake, shake (summertime train's blind).
Window's warm, conductors drowsing.
- On the Rain
- The rain sounds goot it knocks on wood and drowns my house. But it can't
swallow me and I can drink it. The rain makes rounds in grey sky towns.
Spills its guts, sometimes it follows me. So I built a house of glass that
the rain just runs right past. When the rain thinks it laughs last then I
drool on it. The earth burps mud when the sky floods. Drains rain down
till it covers my feet and I lose my shoes. The earth grows hair of grass
then tears the sun back out when its got what it needs. And I built a
house of glass that the rain just runs right past. When the rain thinks it
laughs last then I drool on it.
- Vacation Brain
- Kiersty's mind's blown. In her room she knows its June but knows not why.
Kiersty's mind blows slow flute swoons, she knows the tunes but knows not
where from. In a time zone with no noon she hops a spoon and sleds to
water. In the snocone-clod, wet tomb she shakes her broom-blond hair like
God then. ..Well, she can't decide but her body says it'll make her make
her mind up. Kiersty's spine grows to the moon; her threaded loom of skin:
the sky's shell. Kiersty's smile snows teeth like tombs. She rents three
rooms in heaven hotel. But she can't decide so her body says it'll make
her make her mind up. Kiersty's mind's blown. In her room she knows its
June so what's to say? Kiersty dies home sleeps till noon its summer soon,
so what's the day? Well, she can't decide.
- Tony Told Me
- Tony told me, "hold me like a pony," and "sunshine is like a gold mine."
Tony tole me, "hole me, I'm all broke and bony like windchimes hung in
wartime." Tony la-la lonely boy. Christie kissed me. It was misty so she
missed me. She'll hang time on the grape vine. Christie kissed me. It was
misty like a
mistery, like silk twine on a clothesline. Christie mama-missing girl.
