The idea of an Israeli black metal band might strike some as a little bizarre, but the country’s premier warriors of darkness Tangorodrim are deadly serious in their mission.
Drawing the inspiration for their unholy cacophony of cavernous chaos from the genre’s satanic elders Bathory, Venom and Darkthrone, Tangorodrim create good ol’ fashioned black metal, replete with plenty of scouring white noise (the production on their album Unholy and Unlimited is reminiscent of Emperor’s legendary debut release), swinging pirate riffs and reverb-soaked vocals, all dripping with gut-wrenching evil.
For their fourth studio album Justus Ex Fide Vivit (their second for Southern Lord) Tangorodrim have regressed into a more primitive animal...a new, more vicious beast.
