The Teen Idles were the first to release a record on Dischord (Dischord #1)
It was
produced by Skip Groff and engineered by Don Zientara at Inner Ear Studios.
Noted for its frenetecism, much has developed in D.C.'s aesthetic over the 16
years since this was recorded. But this is essential listening, marking a change
in music that was unstoppable and thoroughly influential.
This single was later compiled onto Dischord 14 CD (1981 - The Year in 7
inches) which gives even more of a musical picture of the time.
There is an account of the band's beginnings on the sleeve notes of the
new Teen Idles compiltion 7".
