This four-piece pop-o-rama of sound from Cincinnati, Ohio isn't afraid to
be uncompromisingly hook-full. They pick through the trash heap of pop,
ie: Abba, Kiss, Cheap Trick, New York Dolls, Shangri-Las and kneel at
rocks icons: Punk, New Wave, Garage and Noise; to create a Frankensteinian
musical delight. Stitched together, if you will, a rock monster that just
might blow your whole goddamned world apart. Comparisons of Pixies/Cheap
Trick/Clash occur, but don't show up on their sleeves. They are their own.
Tigerlilies Pat Hennessy and Brian Driscoll put in time with the
garage, noise kings Chrome
Cranks who have since hauled ass to NYC and greener pastures. Denny
Brown guitared with The Mortals, of Estrus Records fame, blowing minds and
amps at Garageshock before disintegration. Drummer Steve Hennessy played
on the Candy Snatchers vocalist side-project The Cover Girls. The
Tigerlilies have supported Helium, Superchunk, Joan Jett (!), Laughing Hyenas, Scrawl, Guided By
Voices and The Reverend Horton Heat.
