New tracks from Low and k. (aka Karla Schickele of Ida).

"Those Girls" us a new, original Low song, recorded by Warn Defever of His Name is Alive. The same haunting harmonies we have come to know and love from the Dulth, Minnesota trio, in a beautiful new pop song.

"Regular Girl" is an original song by Karla, as part of the k. project. Features guest players Tara Jane O'Neil (Retsin, Sonora Pine) making a rare appearance on drums, Cynthia Nelson (Retsin, Ruby Falls, the Naysayer) playing "lead guitar" and Miggy (Tara Jane O'Neil band, The Mad Scene, ex-Ida) on bass. Recorded at Tony Lockwood, who records the great underrated New York band The Malarkies at El Chalet in Brooklyn.

"Venus (Time Stereo dub version)" is a new recording of the Low classic "Venus", recorded by Warn Defever. This longtime Low favourite gets a new life in the heartland of Michigan. What happens when a band is known for its sublime, quiet power puts one of its most popular songs in the hands aof a mad genius in a suburban basement?

"Were We to Dance" is a k. cover of a song by the underground Michigan band Flashpapr. It was recorded in a loft in Brooklyn, New York by Tara Jane O'Neil and remixed by Warn Defever. It features a drunken roster of underground New York musicians, known as the Timid Tequila Orchestra, including Ida Perle (perennial violin player with Ida), Matt Sutton and David De Mallie (The Malarkies), Matthew Schickele (ex-Beekeeper) and Tara Jane O'Neil on organ.
