Marc Almond With Michael Cashmore

Biography

Marc Almond (born Peter Mark Sinclair Almond on 9 July 1957 in Southport, Lancashire, England) is an English singer, songwriter and recording artist, who originally found fame as half of the seminal synthpop/New Wave duo Soft Cell.

It has been Michael Cashmore's music along with the lyrical style of David Tibet, that has helped establish Current 93's international reputation for producing some of the most challenging, profound and influential works in contemporary music. Through working with Current 93 Michael has also recorded works with Antony Hegarty (Antony and the Johnsons), Nick Cave and many others.

Over the years Michael has become an influential figure through his guitar playing technique and musical compositions, and for 2007's collaboration album The Snow Abides he produced his most accomplished and poignant work to date, solo or otherwise.
