Yuki Sukurai, one half of Decay Of The Angel, grew up listening to the popular music of her childhood, such bands as Culture Club and Duran Duran, bands that nowadays would conjure images of ridiculousness as far as serious-minded musicians were concerned. Her father was so strict that he forbade her to listen to "foreign trash" in the house so she had to endure a solitary childhood existence with very little knowledge of real and earnest music that is the blueprint for the blossoming of artistic and creative study. She studied music in school, just as all Japanese students do, but she never really seriously learned an instrument until she started to play the electric guitar at the age of 30, after seeing and hearing John Frusciante of the Red Hot Chili Peppers play his guitar. Yuki was inspired by his fragile and damaged artistic beauty, pureness of soul and his general naivety as an artist and musician. She has since studied and practiced for more than 10 hours each day to be able to recreate the sounds that she hears in her head. Yuki could be as effective an artist whether she was painting a picture or writing poetry or short stories or any other form of artistic expression, she just decided at that particular time to pick up the guitar

The Chuck Dukowski Sextet (CD6) is an acid rock powerhouse. Their tearing guitars and beautifully heavy vocals weave through their virtuoso bass and rhythm section. They've followed up their first album's hit "Freedom" with songs on their new release Reverse Polarity that touch on a similar anguish and exaltation; Lora Norton's vocal intensity and emotional depth is on full display ranging from surrealistic "Open Up The Door" to the aggressive tear down of America's lies on "Try To Feel Free". Guitarist Milo Gonzalez, who is the eldest child of Chuck Dukowski and Lora Norton, has become a permanent member (and sometime songwriter) of the CD6 after his guest appearance on their first release Eat My Life. His howling guitars have given CD6 their true voice. The CD6's heavily lauded performance at the Coachella music festival bolstered their commitment to change expectations of what a band is. "We dominated the artist area at Coachella! We tour with the whole family, and more if we can." Says Chuck. "We just take over. People don't know what to make of us because we refute all preconceptions of what it means to be a counterculture and what a counterculture family can be like. We're intergenerational and united. We're powerful because we stand together."
